Cherry Torte

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. red cherries, drained
  • 1 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Scant tsp. soda
  • Whipped Cream

Preparation

Step 1

Beat egg yolks and whites separately. Add sugar to yolks, add melted butter and egg whites beaten, flour and soda. Stir in cherries and nuts lightly. Line pan 8 x 10 with waxed paper. Bake in 350 oven until firm. Cut in squares and serve with whipped cream.
