Peach Conserve

Ingredients

  • 12 large peaches, peeled and diced
  • 8 oranges peeled and diced
  • 4 lbs. sugar
  • 1/3 c. nuts (optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Shred the rind of 6 of the oranges. Mix all of these ingredients together and let stand overnight. In the morning, cook to desired consistency. Pour in jars, cover with paraffin (wax) and seal. Care must be taken not to scorch jam while it is cooking!
