Curry Pickles

Ingredients

  • 24 med.-size cucumbers, cubed or thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. salt
  • 8 c. water
  • 1 tsp. curry powder
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp. celery seed

Preparation

Step 1

Combine salt and water. Pour over cucumbers. Let stand 5 hours. Drain. Rinse thoroughly. Combine remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling point and pour over cucumbers. Bring to boil again. Pour into jars and seal at once.
