Candy Bar Bar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 C butter
• 3/4 C sugar
• 1 beaten egg
• 2 t vanilla
• 1/2 t salt
• 2 1/2 C flour
• 5 - 3 oz. chocolate candy bars (Nestles milk chocolate)
• 1/4 C sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Foil line a 9 x 13 pan. Let foil flap over sides. Spray w/Pam. Mix butter and sugar. Add egg. Mix in vanilla and salt. Add flour slowly. The dough will "ball up". Pat half the dough into pan. Put candy bars on top of dough. Pat remaining dough on top.

Use back of fork to make cross-hatches on top of the dough like peanut-butter cookies. Sprinkle 1/4 C sugar on top.

Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Will be brown on edges and quite white on top.
