Apple and Pear Crisp

Ingredients
- 1/2 c light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c butter
- 3/4 c flour
- 1 t cinnamon
- 5 Pink Lady apples peeled, cored and cut into eighths
- 1 Anjou pear, peeled, cored and cut into eighths
- 1/4 c water
- 5 t butter
- vanilla ice cream or half and half for serving

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375. Mix first 5 ingredients in a med bowl, using a pastry cutter or fork, until crumbly. Set aside. Butter the bottom of an 8in square pan. layer apples in the pan, followed by the pears. Pour the water over the fruit. Scatter the 5 t butter randomly over the fruit. Sprinkle the crisp mixture evenly on top. Bake for 30-40 min until golden brown and fruit is easily pierced. Serve warm with half and half or ice cream.
