Sweet Spiced Nuts

Ingredients

  • 1 large egg white
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • Kosher slat
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 3 cups assorted mixed nut
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 275°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper (I used my silpat). Whisk the egg white with 1 tablespoon water in a large bowl till frothy, add Worcestershire sauce. In a small bowl combine the sugar, 1 ½ teaspoons salt, and spices. In a large Ziploc bag, toss nuts with the sugar-spice mixture. Then add egg mixture to bag. Continue to shake till well coated. Pour the nuts onto the prepared baking sheet and spread till smooth. Bake until golden, 30 to 35 minutes. This is where I flipped them over and baked about 10 more minutes before allowing to cool completely. Once cool, place in large Tupperware and shake to break into pieces.
