Mushroom Trio

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package (8 oz) white mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 package (6 oz) Portobello mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 package (3.5 oz) shitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons burbon or dry red wine
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the onion and black pepper, and saute for 4 to 5 minutes or until the onion is tender

Add the mushrooms and saute for 5 to 7 minutes or until softened.

Add the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cook for 1 minute, or until the sauce thickens
