Herb Roasted Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 5 lb Whole Chicken
  • 1 Stick butter, softened
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sage
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp Lemon Pepper Seasoning

Preparation

Step 1

1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Spray broiler pan with cooking spray.
2. Combine seasoning in small bowl. Combine butter and minced garlic in small
bowl.
3. Rinse Chicken, pat dry.
4. Lay chicken on broiler pan, breast side up.
5. Separate skin from breast meat. Take 1/3 of the butter and rub inside of skin.
Put 1/3 of the butter inside of cavity & rub 1/3 of butter all over skin.
6. Add some seasoning in cavity and sprinkle the rest of seasoning all over
chicken.
7. Tie legs together tightly and put skewer through back in all the way through to
the front.
8. Bake chicken (18 minutes per lb)
