Ingredients
- 7 eggs
- 1/3 c. cold water
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 c. cake flour
Preparation
Step 1
Sift flour before measuring. Add baking powder and sift again. Beat egg yolks very hard. Add cold water and continue beating. Add sugar, beat for several mins. Add salt, vanilla and flaring. Beat white of egg separately until frothy; add cream of tartar and beat until stiff. Fold into above mixture and bake in ungreased tub pan in a 350 oven for 50 mins.
