Nut-Fruit Frosting

Ingredients

  • Mix well in top of double boiler:
  • 1 unbeaten egg white
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. gran. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 c. broken nuts
  • 1/2 c. dates, cut up

Preparation

Step 1

Pour in pan over rapidly boiling water, beat constantly until frosting stands in peaks. Remove from heat, add nus and dates. Good on devils food cake.
