Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c corn meal
  • 3/4 c sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. French's instant Minced Onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. oil or melted shortening
  • 2 Tbsp. French's prepared yellow mustard.

Preparation

Step 1

Combine corn meal, flour, baking powder, instant minced onion and salt in large misxing bowl. Combine eggs, milk, shortening and mustard; add to corn meal mixture. Stir just to combine. Turn into well-greased 8-inch square baking pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 mins. until light brown.
