Ingredients

  • 12 cups water
  • 4 cups chicken base/chicken stock
  • 1 lb margarine (4 sticks)
  • 1 lb flour
  • 1 lb hot pepper jack cheese
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1 cup carrots
  • 1 quart heavy cream
  • Extra diced jalapeno peppers for extra crunch and spice.

Preparation

Step 1

1.Boil onions, carrots and celery as preferred. (Barb prefers hers a little on the crunchy side.) Set aside.
2. Melt margarine and add flour for thickening to make a roux.
3. Mix water and chicken stock.
4. Add roux.
5. Stir constantly until thickened.
6. Add onion, celery, carrots
7. Add cubed pepper jack cheese.
8. Stir until cheese is melted.
9. Add one quart heavy cream.
10. Add additional chopped jalapeno peppers to taste.

Run 10 miles and enjoy!!!!!

**Recipe yields A TON... consider cutting in 1/2.
