Vanilla Ice Cream (freezer)

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 6 cups milk
  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 2 tbs. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs until light. Add sugar gradually, beating until mixture thickens. Add remaining ingredients; mix thoroughly. Freeze in ice-cream freezer. Makes 1 gallon.
