Shortbread Cookies

  • 1/2 cup corn starch
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat over to 350.

Sift together cornstarch, icing sugar and flour.

With a fork, blend in the softened butter until a smooth dough forms.

If the dough is too soft to handle, wrap in saran wrap and refrigerate for one hour. Shape dough in 1 inch balls or roll dough onto floured surface to make your favorite cookie cutter shapes.

Bake for 12 to 16 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack. Decorate with cookie glaze, candied cherries, colored sprinkles or nuts.
