Margarita Slush

Ingredients

  •  2 12 oz cans frozen limeade
  •  1 12oz can lemonade
  •  2 juice cans of water
  •  1 to 2 qts chilled sparkling mineral water or club soda
  •  1 lime, sliced thin
  •  1 cup sugar (optional)
  •  26 oz tequila (optional)
  •  coarse salt

Preparation

Step 1

In a non-metal punch bowl combine juices with tequila, water and if desired, sugar. (Tequila should be added to taste. Half of a 26 oz bottle should be sufficient for this recipe.) Cover with a sheet of plastic wrap and freeze.

To serve, rub rim of glass with a lime slice and dip in coarse salt. Put one ice cream scoop of slush into the glass and top with soda or mineral water. Garnish with lime slice.
