Ingredients

  • 1 Ib (500 g) lean ground beef
  • 1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) vvasabi paste
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) hoisin sauce
  • l/2 tsp (2 mL) dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) sea salt

Preparation

Step 1

Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well. Shape into 4 large patties.

Grill the burgers on high for about 5 minutes each side.

Serve immediately with a variety of condiments.
