Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
- ½ cup freshly shredded Parmesan
- 1 TB chopped thyme, rosemary, or combo of both
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 1 TB sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups flour
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1½ tsp baking powder
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9 x 5 loaf pan with olive oil spray. Mix cheddar, Parmesan, & herbs in a small bowl. Reserve ¼ cup for the top. In a large bowl, combine butter, sugar, egg, & buttermilk; mix well. Add flour, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, baking soda, & baking powder; mix until just combined. Stir in the cheese & herb mixture; stir to combine. Spread into the loaf pan. Top with the reserved ¼ cup cheese & herb mixture. Bake 50-55 minutes or until lightly brown on top & a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
