Sweet, Spiked, & Spicy Hot Chocolate

The perfect way to celebrate during the cold, winter months is with a cup of Sweet, Spiked, & Spicy Hot Chocolate. Rich chocolate, spicy cayenne, and nutty flavors of peanut butter come together to make, quite possibly, the best cup of hot chocolate that has ever been created. Whether you're curled up with a book or making a couple cups with some of your favorite people, this recipe will be one you keep coming back to again and again.
Ingredients
- 1cup1 cup milk
- 2-ounces2-ounces milk chocolate
- 1-ounce1-ounce semi-sweet chocolate
- 1tablespoon1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 2tablespoons2 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
- 3/4teaspoon3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4teaspoon1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4teaspoon1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- PinchPinch of cayenne pepper
- PinchPinch of sea salt
- 1(1.5-ounce) shot1 (1.5-ounce) shot glass-full of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
- 3large3 large marshmallows

Step 1
Add the milk, sugar, and chocolate to a small pot and cook on a low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate and sugar have dissolved. Whisk in the peanut butter until smooth, then add the spices. Remove from the heat, stir in the rum, and pour into a mug or glass. Stir in the marshmallows and allow them to melt and enrich the cocoa.
