Savory Onion Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C flour, divided
  • 1 broiler/fryer chicken (3-4LB) -
  • skin removed & cut up
  • 2 TBL olive oil
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 bottle (12oz) beer

Preparation

Step 1


place 2 TBL flour in lg. reseable plastic bag
add chicken, a few pieces at a time
shake to coat
in lg. skillet, brown chicken in oil on all sides
remove & keep warm

add soup mix & remaining flour, stirring to loosen browned bits from pan
gradually whisk in beet
bring to boil - cook & stir for 2 min or until thickened
return chicken to pan
bring to boil
reduce heat
cover & simmer for 12-15 min or until chicken juices run clear
