Dutch Butter Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c all purpose flour
  • 1 c unsalted butter
  • 2/3 c sugar
  • 1/4 t salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 and line an 8x8 pan with foil.
Melt the butter and mix it with the flour, sugar and salt until just combined. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Bake for 30 min until the edges just start to turn golden brown. the middle will be very gooey, but the cake is definitely done at this point. Allow to cool completely before removing from the foil. Cut into squares and enjoy.
