  • 1 pound ground pork sausage (Jimmy Dean hot)
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 C milk
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 6 slices Challah bread, cut into cubes
  • 8 oz mild cheddar cheese, shredded

Preparation

Step 1

Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish
Cook sausage in skillet over medium heat. Stir and break up lumps until evenly browned, drain.
Mix together eggs, milk, mustard powder, and salt in a bowl. Add sausage, bread cubes and cheese, stirring to coat evenly. Pour into prepared baking dish, cover with aluminum foil and chill 8 hours or overnight .
Preheat oven to 350. Bake, covered for 45 min. Uncover and reduce oven temp to 325 and bake until set about 15 min more. Let stand 5 min before serving.
