Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tea. baking powder
- 1 tea. baking soda
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 1 - 8 oz. can crushed pineapple
- 2 cups pitted Bing cherries, coarsely chopped
- 1 tea. vanilla
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour two 5x9" loaf pans.
In a large bowl, cream butter and cream cheese. Add sugar and eggs and mix well.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Gradually add flour mixture3, pineapple and cherries to butter mixture. Add vanilla and mix well. Stir in pecans.
Pour into prepared pans. Bake for 50 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in pans on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove to the wire rack to cool completely.
