Cheese Straw Twists

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 package (17 1/4 ounce) frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten

Preparation

Step 1

1. Line the 4 inch rack with parchment paper.

2. Mix cheese and paprika.

3. Roll 1 sheet of pastry into rectangle 12x10 inches, on lightly floured surface with flour covered rolling pin.

4. Brush pastry with egg. Sprinkle with 3 Tablespoons of the cheese mixture.

5. Press cheese gently into pastry. Turn pastry over and repeat process.

6. Cut pastry lengthwise into 1/2 inch strips. Unfold strips and roll each end in opposite directions to create twists.

7. Line the 4 inch rack with parchment paper and place twists on top.

8. Bake on power level high for 6-8 minutes or until brown. Let cool on wire rack.

Tips
If you have the additional cooking racks, use as a cooling rack.
