Pepper Steak

Top Round steak mixed with green peppers and sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • salt, pepper to taste
  • 1 lb top round, cut into strips
  • 4 Tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 green peppers, cut into strips
  • 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 4 green onions, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in large skillet. Add salt, pepper and garlic. Saute for 30 seconds. Add beef. Stir fry for 3 minutes. Increase heat to high. Stir in soy and sugar. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Add peppers. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix cornstarch and water in bowl then add to skillet. Cook until thickened. Serve with rice and top with green onion.
