Lasagne

Ingredients

  • Cheese filling:
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1-1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Basil
  • 2-6 oz. cans tomato paste
  • 3 c. Cottage cheese (small curd)
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. Parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Pepper
  • 1 pkg. lasagne noodles
  • 2 pkg. (1lb.) mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat slowly, spoon off fat. Add garlic, tomatoes, salt, basil and tomato paste; simmer uncovered 30 minutes

Cook lasagne noodles until tender; 15-20 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water.

In large bowl combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, parsley flakes, salt and pepper.

Place half the cooked noodles in 13x9x2 pan, spread with half the cheese filling, cover with half the mozzarella cheese and then half the meat sauce. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
Bake at 350* for 30 mins. Before cutting, let stand for 10 mins., filling will set slightly.
