BRIE WITH PUFF PASTRY
- 8 oz Brie
- Jam 1/4 c.
- Roasted nuts 1/4 c.
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 egg + 1 tbls water for egg wash
Thaw Pastry 40min.
Bake 25 min. @ 380-400 degrees until golden brown
Let stand 1hr. Or more
Wrap brie with pastry, after spreading nuts and jam on pastry
put seamed edges on bottom, after egg wash
make bow or other ornament, with extra dough, put on top and brush with egg wash
(to make bow cut extra triangle into ¾ inch strips, fashion bow from strips)
cook and let rest
Jam and nuts can be substituted with many different things, brown sugar & walnuts, or olive tapinade w/sundried tomatoes etc.
