Linguini with Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguini
  • 1/4 C olive oil
  • 1/4 C almonds or pine nuts
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2 lbs aparagus. trimmed and cut in 1 in. pieces
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 c. shaved parmesian (3oz)

Preparation

Step 1

- Cook pasta acording to directions; drain
- Meanwhile, heat oil in skillet over medium heat; add nuts and garlic and cook until golden stirring frequently - 1 - 2 min.; add asparagus and cook another 2-3 min. until just tender
- Add asparagus to pasta along with salt and pepper to taste; sprinkle with cheese before serving
