PELICAN NESTS - MUST BE MADE AHEAD AND FROZEN

  • 1 LB. LEAN GROUND BEEF
  • 1 LB. HOT ITALIAN SAUSAGE MEAT OR REMOVE CASINGS FROM SAUSAGE
  • 1 LB. VELVEETA CHEESE
  • 2 CLOVES GARLIC MINCED
  • 1 LOAF RYE OR PUMPERNICKEL OR USE SOME OF BOTH COCKTAIL BREAD

Preparation

Step 1

- MUST BE MADE AHEAD AND FROZEN
COOK BEEF,SAUSAGE &GARLIC UNTIL NOT LONGER PINK,
ADD CHEESE STIR UNTIL MELTED.
LET COOL APPROX. 10 MINS. THEN MOUND ONTO COCTAIL BREAD SLICES,
PUT ON COOKIE SHEET UNCOVERED IN FREEZER APPROX. 1/2 HR. OR UNTIL FROZEN.
PLACE IN PLASTIC FREEZER BAG.
WHEN READY TO SERVE PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEG. FOR APPROX. 15 mins. JUST TO WARM THRU.
