- For decoration:
- 1 cup butter at room temperature
- 1 cup powder sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tsp water
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups pecans finely chopped
- cherry fruit roll ups, cut into 1/8" strips
Heat oven to 350*.
Beat butter, 1/4 cup sugar, salt, vanilla and water in large bowl with electric mixer until fluffy. Stir in flour and nuts until blended.
Shape rounded teaspoonfuls into logs about 1 1/2" ling and 1/2" diameter.
Place 1/2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12 to 15 minutes until bottoms are lightly brown. Remove to wire racks to cool.
Roll in remaining sugar, then decorate.
For ribbon wrap fruit roll up around log and press gently so it sticks to itself. Loop another strip to form a bow, press into joint.
Just before serving dip bottom of "package" in sugar so it does not stick to plate.
