Fish Fry Batter

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 (12-ounce) bottle amber beer
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons granulated garlic

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the first dry ingredients together, then add the beer and mix well. Season your fish with last 3 ingredients, then dip your fish in batter. Fry in deep-fryer or cast iron skillet with enough oil at 350 degrees. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until slighlty browned.
