Dorotha's Yeast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 9 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons salt
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 9 Tablespoons melted Crisco and butter
  • 4 eggs well beaten
  • 2 packages yeast

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour and salt into a greased bowl. Mix milk, sugar, Crisco and butter, and eggs into a saucepan. Let 1 cup water (tepid) with 2 packages yeast stand for 5 minutes, then mix into pan with other wet ingredients. Grease top dough lightly and let rise in warm place for 4 or more hours. Knead dough and roll out on floured surface. cut dough out into 2" circles. Place circular dough onto a greased pan and cover dough with a cheesecloth and allow to rise another 4 hours. Bake at 325 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
