Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Pinch hot pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3 cups shredded Napa or green cabbage
  • 1 small carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced sweet red pepper

Step 1

In a bowl, whisk together vinegar, sugar, oil, salt and hot pepper flakes, if using. Add cabbage, carrot and red pepper; toss to coat. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Makes 1 1/2 cups. (4 servings)
