White Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs butter or margarine (we recommend LAND O LAKES® Butter)
  • 2 Tbs all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground white or black pepper
  • 2/3 cup NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
  • 1/2 cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in small saucepan. Stir in flour, salt and pepper.

Gradually add evaporated milk and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes just to a boil.
