Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2/3 cups cooking oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 cups diced Rhubarb
  • 1 1/2 cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Mix in the remaining ingredients.

Pour into graded and floured load pans. Add topping to each loaf

Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes

Topping:

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp butter, melted
mix all ingredients together

** substitution for buttermilk
1 cup plain yogurt 1 TBSP vinegar plus mile to equal 1 cup for 1 TBSP lemon juice plus milk to equal
