Vanilla "Waffle" Cookies

Vanilla Waffle Cookies 1 Picture


  • 3 lbs Flour
  • 2.5 lbs Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbs Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 lb Butter (melted)
  • 1 oz Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 6-8 oz Imitation Vanilla Extract

Step 1

Blend flour with light brown sugar and salt in a large bowl or roaster. De-lump the sugar with fingers until most of lumps are out. Add eggs and stir into batch with your hands. Add melted butter and again work in with hands. Add pure vanilla plus enough imitation vanilla to draw the mixture together by kneading thoroughly with hands until you obtain one large mass. Place in bowl and let it stand for a day at room temperature before rolling out cookies. Roll out cookies by hand into worms about the size of a tootsie rolls before cooking. Cook on a Belgian Cookie Iron or Pizzelle Iron. Will make about 120 to 150 cookies.
