Ingredients
- 2 Tbs vegetable oil divided
- 1/2 lb ground turkey
- 1 Small onion chopped
- 1 Small green bell pepper seeded and chopped
- 1 Clove garlic crushed
- 2 14-Ounce Cans plum tomatoes with juice
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in medium skillet over medium heat. Add turkey and cook, breaking up with wooden spoon until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon; reserve.
Add remaining tablespoon of oil and saute onion, green pepper and garlic about 5 minutes.
Add reserved turkey, tomatoes with juice, oregano, salt and pepper. Break up tomatoes with wooden spoon and gently simmer about 20 minutes.
Serve hot over pasta.
