Vegan Cheese

You can use just about any kind of nuts. Cashews, Almonds, Hazelnuts, Brazilnuts, etc

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of nuts, soaked for 6 hours
  • 1 cup almond or cashew yogurt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt, give or take
  • 3 Tbsp tapioca starch
  • 1 Tbsp agar

Preparation

Step 1

1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor.
2. Blend all of the ingredients together.
3. In a medium saucepan or skillet, cook the mixture on the stove, over medium-low heat.
4. Stir continuously, until the mixture becomes "stretchy".
5. Remove from heat and pour the mixture into a mold (dish/bowl, etc). Place a piece of cling wrap pressed over the cheese, so that the cheese does not create a film. Refrigerate for a few hours and enjoy
