  • 1 bag navy beans
  • ham bone
  • 1 onion, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Cover beans with water. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and cover; let sit 1 hour.
Cook on stove for 1-1 1/2 hours after bringing to a boil. Add onion and ham bone.
Remove bone and transfer bean mixture to baking dish. Remove ham from bone and add to beans.
Heat oven to 350. Bake for 5-6 hours, checking often and adding liquid if needed.
