Breakfast: Oven Baked French Toast

try 1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
Place in mediu saucepan. Cook over low heat until mixture comes to a boil; boil 1 minute. Pour mixture into the 13x" baking dish. then arrange bread over it.

Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 8 Eggs
  • 1 pint Half and Half
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 loaf French Bread, sliced
  • 2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Dark Karo Syrup
  • 3/4 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup chopped Nuts (Pecans, Walnuts, Almonds)

Preparation

Step 1

Double layer Bread slices in greased 9x13 pan

Blend Eggs, Half and Half, Milk, Vanilla, Cinnamon and Nutmeg and pour over the bread

Refrigerate overnight

Mix topping ingredients and crumble over the bread. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 50 minutes
