Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cups sugar
- 7 ounces marshmallow creme
- 2/3 cup evaporated milk (small can)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup KAHLUA (coffee liqueur)
- 1 teaspoon almond extract or vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup chopped nuts *optional
Preparation
Step 1
Line 8×8 inch baking pan with foil.
In 2 quart saucepan, combine sugar, marshmallow creme, milk, butter and KAHLUA and salt.
Bring to a rapid boil (takes about 11 to 12 minutes).Stir constantly for another 5 minutes after it comes to a boil.
Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips.
Stir until melted. Add the nuts (if desired) and the almond or vanilla extract. Pour into prepared pan.Refrigerate until firm and cut into squares. Makes about 2-3/4 pounds.
