Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs Granny Smith Apples
- 1 lb rhubarb
- 1 orange
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 2 tsp minced fresh ginger
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup pecans
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1 cup whip cream
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Peel and core apples, cut into 1 inch chunks
Trim and discard coarse ends. Cut into 1 inch pieces.
Grate 1 tbsp peel from orange. Ream 1/4 cup juice from orange
In a casserole combine apples, rhubarb, orange peel, orange juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and 2 tbsp flour. Mix well
In a food processor combine 3/4 cup flour, pecans, and sugar. Whirl until nuts are finely ground. Add butter and whirl mixture with fingers until it forms fine crumbs. Squeeze crumbs into lumps and scatter over apple mixture.
Bake 375 oven until topping is well browned and juice bubbles at edges
Bake about 35-40 minutes
Serve with whip cream or ice cream.
