  • 1 1/2 cups BUTTER softened
  • 1 pound powdered sugar sifted
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 3/4 cups sifted CAKE FLOUR



Step 1

Heat oven to 325
in a stand mixer cream butter and then add sugar gradually and beat until fluffy
adds eggs one at a time and beat will
beat in vanilla and lemon juice
gradually add flour until thoroughly incorporated
pour batter into a grease and floured 10 inch tube pan
cook for 1 1/2 hour our until a pick inserted in the center come out clean
cool in pan for 5 minutes
turn out on rack, cool completely
best when make 24 hours before serving flavor intensifies
