Seven-up Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 3oz box lemon jello
  • 1 banana; cut fine
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup 7-up
  • 1 large apple; peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup small marshmallows
  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained (SAVE JUICE)
  • TOPPING: (or use Cool Whip mixed with saved pineapple juice)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1/2 pint heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve jello in water and 7-up. Add remaining ingredients and pour into 2 qt pan. Chill until set.

Mix sugar and flour together in saucepan. Add butter and pineapple juice; cook until thick. Cool. Add whipped cream and spread over jello.
