  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 1 1/2 c cooked strained squash (pumpkin)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c milk
  • 1 tsp butter

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Mix salt, sugar and spices with squash (pumpkin). Beat eggs slightly, add the milk. Combine milk and pumpkin mixtures. Add milted butter. Pour into unbaked pie pastry shell. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then reduce heat to 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean.
