Mac&Cheese 'Panko Crumbs

Ingredients

  • Salt
  • 1/3 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 2- 1/3 cup 1% Milk
  • 3/4 cup Fontina Cheese - shred3
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan
  • 1/2 cup Non-Fat Cheddar - shred3
  • 4 oz Processed Light American Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Japanese (panko) bread crumbs

Preparation

Step 1

1 Preheat oven to 375°.
2 Spray 2 Qrt. casserole dish w/ non-stick spray & set aside. Bring a Lrg. pot of H2O to a boil. Salt H2O, add Macaroni & cook until al denté. Drain into a colander, run under cold H2O to stop the cooking & set aside.
3 While Pasta is cooking, combine Flour & Milk in a Lrg. saucepan, whisking until blended. Cook over Med. heat until thick, ~ 10 min, stirring constantly. Add Cheese & cook until melted & thickened. Remove from heat & stir in the Macaroni & 1/4 tsp. salt. Pour mixture into prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle bread crumbs over top. Bake until bubbly, ~ 30 to 40 min.
