  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup sugar



Step 1

In heavy saucepan, beat eggs and egg yolks until blended. Stir in lemon juice and sugar.
Cook over low heat stirring constantly until mixture is very thick and coats the back of the wooden spoon. This will take about 15 minutes (do not boil or mixture will curdle)
Stir in 4 tablespoons margarine until melted.
