Preparation

Step 1

Cut loaf in half lengthwise and shape loaf half or 6 dinner rolls combined into a baguette 10-12 inches long. Repeat to make second baguette. Place both on a sprayed baking sheet and cover with sprayed plastic wrap. Allow to rise until double in size. Remove wrap and bake at 350°F 10 minutes.

Remove from oven and brush with garlic butter. Return to oven for another 10-15 minutes or until baked through. Remove from oven and let cool 10 minutes.

Cut 10 slices on an angle in each baguette but do not cut all the way through to the bottom. Spread each slice with garlic butter and place a piece of cheese in each of the slices. Return to oven long enough to melt cheese.
