Surprise Cupcakes

These cupcakes were always a favorite of mine as a child...and now as an adult...still!

Ingredients
- 1 chocolate cake mix
- 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- dash of salt
- 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Mix cake according to directions on package. Fill baking cups in muffin pan 2/3 full. Cream the cheese with sugar. Beat in egg and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop 1 rounded teaspoon of the cheese mixture into each cupcake. Bake 15 minutes at 350º.
