Aunt Helens Pickled Cauliflower

Ingredients
- 3 Heads Cauliflower
- 2 large Onions Sliced
- 6 Tbsp Pickling Spice-in a bag
- 2 1/2 Cups Sugar
- 1/4 tsp. Turmeric
- 1 Cup salt

Preparation
Step 1
Separate Cauliflower units into florets. Place in large pan (not aluminum) with sliced onions.
Sprinkle on salt and add water cover and let stand over night.
Next day:
Rinse cauliflower well with running water. Boil vinegar, sugar, turmeric and pickling spice for 5 mins. Add cauliflower and onions.
Bring to boil and boil for 1 min.
Remove spice bag and then pack into hot sterilized jars and seal with Sterilized tops
(may turn a pink color in jar)
