Ingredients

  • ¼

    C Butter, room temp.

  • ¼

    C Shortening

  • ¾

    C Sugar

  • 1

    Egg

  • 1

    tsp. Cream of Tartar

  • ½

    tsp. Baking Soda

  • ¼

    tsp. Salt

  • 1-¼

    C & 2 tsp. All-purpose Flour

  • 24

    Kraft Caramels

  • 3

    Tbsp. Sugar mixed with 2 tsp. Cinnamon

Directions

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2) With an electric mixer, cream together the butter, shortening and sugar. 3) Add the egg and beat until creamy. 4) Add the baking soda, salt, cream of tartar and flour; mix until blended. 5) Unwrap the caramels 6) Shape dough into 1 Tbsp. size balls. 7) Wrap the cookie dough around the caramel. I use the rolling technique. 8) Add the cinnamon and sugar into a separate bowl. 9) Roll the cookie dough into the cinnamon sugar mixture. 10) Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. 11) Bake for 12 mins.; remove from baking sheet. These cookies firm up as they cool.
